DN Marine was founded by Dave Nicholson to bridge the gap between high-end SuperYacht technical standards and the local yachting community on the South Coast of the UK covering Devon, Dorset, Hampshire and Sussex, central Europe including Balleriac Islands including Menorca, Majorca and Ibiza. Our Journey
Dave Nicholson’s career began in the heart of the UK’s sailing hubs, but quickly expanded to the international stage. Having spent two decades working on the rigs of world-class racing yachts and 50m+ SuperYachts across the Mediterranean and beyond, Dave has seen every possible rigging challenge. This depth of experience means that when a client presents a problem, Dave doesn’t just look for a quick fix—he looks for the engineered solution that will last.

This allows us to offer a “concierge” style service. If your rig check reveals a problem that requires an engineer or a sailmaker, we don’t just tell you about it—we coordinate with our partners to get it fixed.

Dave Nicholson
A talented Yacht Rigger with over 20 years experience within the marine industry. Expert and technical understanding has seen him work throughout Europe on a large variety of vessels, from small cruisers to 50m SuperYachts.
Lily Eyre
Lily has been sailing since she was a child. Growing up she was on the water most weekends and as a teenager started competitively yacht racing all year round alongside working as a dinghy instructor during the summers. She has been working for DN Marine as a junior rigger since the beginning of 2026 and has already had super yacht experience as well as working on yachts all over Dorset.
